This is the best time of year in the UK. I took a trip over to Formby, a very nice place to be on the north west coast. Ormskirk to Formby is a rural flat landscape which has luscious black sandy soil to grow the best vegetables. On the way I was uplifted by the acid yellow Rapeseed crop shimmering in the glorious sunshine. Not everyone likes it but I find it lovely. The vibrant yellow was around every bend. I would love a handbag to match the crop!!

We returned from Portugal on Wednesday, a day before all planes were grounded because of ‘volcanic ash’ from Iceland hovering over the UK. A day later and we would still be there now wondering when we could return. The friends who decided to stay an extra couple of days are now concerned about their return.

DIALOG LTD are producing some wonderful high fashion bags and accessories both glamorous and fun. They operate as Fairly Traded (*) and are designed by Cassandra Postema and Dong Shing Chiu. (Please see “Our Designers” note on the website) Both designers manufactur ethically. Their creations are truly lovely with 100% animal friendly (vegan) materials. Dialog bags have been reviewed in TATLER, VOGUE, COLLENZION, THE BBC AND NEWCONSUMER.

The texture and designs of these bags are very much in demand throughout the world and are truly unique. Unique by the way they are created, using quote: “a recycling technique from Malaysia that incorporates small origami folded squares of mixed scrap squares”. It’s a long cold winter this time around. I walked the pup for 8 weeks in October and November in the pouring rain. Since then I have ‘skated’ my way along the same path. Pup loving it, but me gripping onto the nearest fence. Despite the underlying treachery the snow has been beautiful, but we are awaiting it’s departure, hopefully soon.
